There was a moment when I forgot what I was doing and where I was. In that moment, we became the mountain on the horizon and they stood before us seeing our reflection in the crystal lake.
We put a wave out that night that moved through the streets, bouncing and reverberating off of old buildings that drew people into our wake.
And as soon as it began, I woke up and remembered it all as a dream.

"Open up your eyes"
The Morning after…someone had to pick up the gear. I borrowed a car. No, I don’t have a license.
The sun was already shining…my faux Ray Bans hid my eyes from the bustling cafe, people out with their families for brunch. They have no idea what took place last night. Monumental in my mind…quickly that was put into perspective.
Step Two: Sell 270 more copies of “A Better Part of You”.
I hold in my hand, the very first copy of “A Better Part of You / Desire”. This doesn’t officially go out until January 18th, 2013…but you can get a special advanced copy from http://www.themonarchproject.bandcamp.com
Don’t wait though…the advance is limited to 50 copies. We’re including with the pre-sale a hand printed piece of artwork that should inspire.
I wonder how fast you need to be going before the white stripes painted on the road become a solid blur.
The first snow fall this year, riding down the 401, into Downtown London in less than 45 minutes. If you were wondering, the satellite radio will ask if you want to hearLay Lady Lay exactly four times in the period between the Caledonia exit, and exit 189.
DowntownLondon, not for the weak. Like any urban core, depression, substance abuse and poverty find no shadows—-let your neighbour know. Good thing we arrived after sun down. Show me a bar with craft beers and you’ve got a happy customer.
After already playing three times this week, any kinks (except the good ones) had already been worked out. These types of experiences are supposed to make, or break bands…and not that we are anywhere near finished, we’re definitely not on the path to being broken.
The rides home are always so quick there’s hardly anything to tell..except that these two DJs were playing some really obscure tracks I’ve never heard. Rob, what was the name of that show! (***)

We weren’t in the car for 10 minutes, barely on our way out of Hamilton and the Sirius radio had already started playing Bob Seger’s “On the Road Again”—-fitting.
Destination, Toronto, cool Kid central and Korea Ville; a night of totally new experiences.
It was recommended that I take a walk down Bloor Street, into absolutely any Korean dining establishment and order the ‘stone bowl bibimbap’ (sans beef). So off we went, into the sea of flashing lights and late night sushi bars to find the place.
Fried eggs on rice is amazing. James ordered the M11. Before he could even finish pronouncing the third syllable in the word eleven the waitress had already agreed that what he was ordering was whatever came out of her mouth before moving on to take Rob’s order.
Off to soundcheck that we were two and a half hours early for. A sea of monitors to blast our faces off with vocals and disco balls to make the party, a real party. Everyone still stood with their arms crossed regardless of the disco balls. Two, real, functioning disco balls, and they all stood with their arms crossed. At least they clapped when they were supposed to.
-You are notIron Maiden
-Zoltan is completely full of sh*t, all the way to his giant 6’4” brim
—-We still have no idea what James had for dinner.
